Trump's Mar-a-Lago Diss His Secret Message to the European Union

The Mar-a-Lago Summit: Decoding the Strategic Diss of Ursula von der Leyen

US President Donald Trump totally dissed European Union Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen at his Mara Lego summit. The devil is in the details. You're going to want to stay tuned for the details that seemed insignificant but were explosive.

The Margo summit was the watershed moment in transatlantic diplomacy to terminate the hostilities between Ukraine and Russia and end the Russia Ukraine conflict. It was to solidify a 15-year bilateral security commitment from the US to Ukraine and it was to outline a Marshall plan for the 21st century. But what was key was what seemed very insignificant. And when I say key, I'm talking about key because the transatlantic partnership, it has been a pillar within the world order. And that is basically now gone.

The seemingly insignificant details show where Trump's position is. But not just where his position is. He totally dissed European Union Commission President Ursula Van der Leyen in these seemingly insignificant details.

The Protocol of the Nation-State

So he starts out by addressing everybody who was in attendance and everybody who is in attendance, the global stakeholders who is on the phone. And he states, "We discussed a lot of points and I do think we're getting a lot closer, but he first says spoke to the European leaders."

"The president and I just uh spoke to the European leaders. They were President Emanuel Mcronone of France, President Alexander Stub of the Republic of Finland, President Carol Noraki of the Republic of Poland, Prime Minister Jonas Garto of the Kingdom of Norway, Prime Minister George Maloney of the Italian Republic, Prime Minister Kier Starmer of the United Kingdom, of Britain and Northern Ireland. Chancellor Frederick Mertz, the Federal Republic of Germany."

Notice from that clip spoke to the European leaders. He mentions President Emanuel McCron of France, President Alexander Stub of the Republic of Finland, President Carol Nokai of the Republic of Poland, Prime Minister Jonas Gar Store of the Kingdom of Norway, Prime Minister George Maloney of the Italian Republic. Now, he's naming the full titles of their countries. This is a little bit concerning because the full titles what he's doing instead of saying of Italy of Norway of what he's doing is he's emphasizing the nation state which is what his national security strategy says that these nations need to return to their former greatness.

The Strategic Snub

So that's one detail to pick up in this. And then he goes on. So he names the countries first. Then after naming the countries, he names the secretary general of NATO, Mark Root. So in the first line of order, he names the official titles and then NATO.

And here in comes the snub. And I want you to listen to this. President Ursula Van der Leyen. Now everybody knows her name is Ursula Von der Leyen. Trump comes from German lineage. He knows that her name is not Van Derlean. This is a deliberate diss on the EU Commission President.

Also notice the hierarchy here that the European Union Commission President is last when in reality in the current global pecking order in this multi-polar order the commission president should have been named first. The country leaders without the full names of their countries could have just said of Germany would have been second and NATO would have been last. That is the corrected order. But US President Donald Trump just dissed Ursula Von der Leyen and in doing so and in these details he is taking a stand that he is by virtue of how he names the nations he is recognizing the nation states. He is not recognizing the European Union.

The Transatlantic Break

The European Union's news rags or online pundits have had some very interesting things to say and one of them was actually quite shocking and it was How to Ditch America. That's right. How to ditch America by TLDDR News EU. How to ditch America. The fact that this would even be reported and this video has 221,000 views. The channel has over a million subscribers. It's usually caters to a more younger audience as well.

The fact that this would be even considered shows that among those within the no, the relationship is becoming less important because they are viewing Donald Trump as a threat to their policies as terminating the transatlantic relationship, the historical relationship, but also in evidencing their own hubris that we don't need America anymore.

And there's actually truth in this because as is highlighted in his video TDLRs, just the trade packs alone and a few more that are in the works will essentially hedge the European Union economy and it stands to grow much greater than the US economy with many of the proposals that are on the table. So the concern is that by Trump not recognizing the European Union, it could end up really hurting the long-term interests of the United States, the economy, which is key.

The Final Word

If this is not remedied at this time, there will come a time when it would be too late and the United States will have to cowtow and accept things. Once Europe is able to prove that it doesn't need the United States, it's going to be completely on their terms. So the wise thing to do at this time would be to recognize the current geopolitical order that the European Union is an empire that has its say on the world stage that it is remedying its internal issues within its single market and in other areas fast remitting those issues making them a absolute priority.

So, it's dangerous to diss at this stage and I don't know who is advising Trump at the State Department, but there needs to be some other experts there on EU affairs than who is currently consulting him.
