The Spark: A Piece of Information That Changed My Life
How did my news journey begin? How did I start with this interest in the European Union when nobody gave a hoot about the European Union and a lot of people still don't? But how did I begin there? Well, how I began was with a piece of information that changed my life. That's right, changed my course of history. And that piece of information came when I was 29 years old. Now I'm an old bat now, but when I was 29 years old, I happened to be reading a book by Howal Lindsay, the great late planet Earth. And my interest in news, which actually started in my late teens and early 20s and possibly even before then. I remember my father always being a news buff and I believe I followed in my father's footsteps. But I was a political science minor and a journalism major which I didn't complete because of illness. So I didn't end up getting that degree but I started to write a book. And the interest in news is not from an angle that you would think. It actually came or for the European Union is not from an angle that you would think. It came from endtime Bible prophecy.
Geopolitics vs. Conspiracy: The 1989 Pivot
Well, what does the European Union have to do with end time Bible prophecy when I'm 29 years old and it's 1989? As a matter of fact, it was right before the fall of the Berlin Wall because at that time there were so many conspiracy theories that were dominating the evangelical airwaves and I knew that if prophecy was going to be fulfilled, it would be fulfilled in the geopolitical system. I happened to read Howal Lindsay's book and the one phrase that changed my life was the phrase that said this final Roman Empire that was going to be coming onto the scene was beginning in the European economic community. Well, why would that change my life? I found it interesting. I found the idea of it interesting. What is this? I need to learn more.
The Journalist's Knack: Sourcing the European Community
Well, the journalist in me and I think that as a journalist, you have to have a gift for it. You have to have a knack. Yeah, you can go to the textbooks and they can tell you you need to look here, here, here, and there, but you should have that knack automatically, the instinct, you need to be resourceful. So I headed, don't ask me how, but at that time there was no libraries that had anything on the European community. And I somehow stumbled across Luxembourg, which was the official publishing house of the European economic community. And I was able to get publications as well as I tapped into leading think tanks that were helping with the formulation of this European community. As a matter of fact, I tapped into and I still have authentic copies of Alario Spanelli's Crocodile magazine that circulated among the EU parliamentarians at that time and they were talking about the European Union moving in a federal direction.
The Analytical Gift: Scriptural Parallels and Geopolitical Reality
Well, the more I knew about the prophetic, now let me just quickly go into the prophetic. My analysis at that point was that if prophecy is fulfilled, it's fulfilled in the current world system and there would be no conspiracy. But also because I have this gift and I have a gift for analysis, I was able to begin to piece certain things together and parallel things in the scriptures. So therein lent to a book, my first flagship work on esquetology, the seed of the antichrist, Bible prophecy, and the European Union. All of my resources in that book are all gradea, topofthe- line, and this was before the internet.
The Early Internet: From Dial-Up to Global Research
Now, I got on the internet early in the early '9s when it was still deli and then you had Chameleon and it was before Netscape. And I remember telling somebody about this and they said, "Oh, who's going to need the internet?" Yeah. Like everybody now uses it, but that was their comment at the time. And I thought it was so neat. You could converse with people around the world. And this thing was rapidly beginning to change. And the next thing I knew that all this material that I had to order, order through special presses, order through the official publishing houses, uh, think tanks. Now all of these things are coming online, making the research that much easier. So therein started my interest in the European Union. But the other reason I had this interest in the European Union was because I was so tired of US politics, the fights with the Republicans and the Democrats and everybody always fighting the Dems, the Republicans. And I just felt that learning another political system was a breath of fresh air and therein started my studies and my early books.

The Conclusion: No Conspiracy Required
And by the way, let me just make this very clear. There is no conspiracy. God doesn't need a conspiracy. He can work through the order of events and he can work through geopolitics for the prophetic to be fulfilled. Now, that was the other piece. Nothing of what I wrote has been negated. A lot of your prophecy experts, what happens is they write a book, it capitalizes on major events of the times, and then when those events go out, guess what? The book falls apart because their theory was based on so many errors. Well, my books still stand. and Europe is still rising. From there, that was when I went to a Jerusalem Post conference in New York City. And and before then, by the way, I had already got to meet some Europiles and attend some events and begin to get really inside the European Union. So from there, that was when I attended a Jerusalem Post conference and I met Don Pravda and we formed the Twist News. So anyway, that is my journey. So bingo, you're here and therein is my journey.
