The next term is “ACQUIS COMMUNAUTAIRE”
You will hear this term frequently sited by EU politicans. Often it is shorted to just the “acquis”. In a nutshell, it refers to the entire cumulative body of European Union law, treaties, court rulings, and international agreements that have piled up since 1958. In short, the acquis refers to EU law.
