"The European Union has its own language that European politicians understand. Inside the 'EU bubble,' there is a variety of terms that sound like alien-speak to the average listener. Today's term is European level well what is the European level and you'll hear the politicians use this one quite frequently well what this means is it decided in Brussels in the European Commission in the European Union the member states Sign over their sovereignty in various areas to the European Union. The European Commission is the law maker for the European Union. The European Commission is in Brussels so you'll often hear the term Brussels used for the Commission which is essentially the lawmaking body. At the European Level also includes decisions decided jointly by the Commission and the EU Council which comprise of the presidents and prime ministers of the member states.
So when a decision is that the European level this means it is decided by the Commission for the community as a whole. This is what the member states signed up for when they joined the European Union. When it's not at the European level it's at the member state level think United States federal government and state government and certain roles In the United states our furthest states to decide and other roles are strictly the federal government well Brussels calls its federal government the European level meaning there is a differentiation between what's decided buy Brussels or the Commission and what is left to the member states.
